Question about ZUN. How much of Touhou did he code by himself? He used to be a member of the Amusement Maker group and members from this group went on to release games such as Shuusou Gyoku and Samidare which have identical functionality to Touhou.

Did they create the engine and collectively share it? Or did each member somehow manage to independently create their own engine? That would be an extremely talented university group if the latter.

I’ve seen people say that ZUN said it’s fine if foreigners pirate the games that aren’t available for sale in their country, but does anyone have an actual source for that?

Aren’t at least the untranslated digital files for most games available for sale on some japanese site(s)?

And of course the most recent games are available everywhere on steam, even if they’re untranslated.
