Depends of the story. I can't remember well, but S.vs.S is probably about not falling to temptation during your youth and overcoming the hardships of your life without blaming the world for them. It's really all about tragic youth and friendship without being corny. I can't come up with one message for HandS though, maybe somebody else can.
