There's a limit to the wish fulfillment fantasy but there's nothing wrong with wanting to feel loved and supported. The concern is more that the coddling would wear thin if they weren't an individual themselves, and existed only to coddle. For it to last without becoming destructive, it would need to start going both ways. It would have to be a relationship, not a dependence.

If she's a person with her own goals and ideals, maybe some strongly differing beliefs from yours, and she sometimes relied on you for support, it would be much easier to sustain over time. Humans go kind of crazy when they feel like they have no purpose or long-term goals. Before long you'd start to think of yourself as some sort of prisoner, or like you're being used for something. It would be untrue, but the human mind seeks struggle when it can't find any. It will create its own problems to solve. It's like when rich people who have everything handed to them become flat-earthers or illuminati theorists, or they join really bizarre causes they have no personal stake in.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with wanting a break, though. Life can be tough. You can just set aside your concerns and drown in titties for a while. You really don't have to try that hard to justify it.

I personally would be more fulfilled if I could work to provide for a wife who supports and loves me in return, and consciously took time out of her own life to spend with me. There's a lot of intimacy to be found in helping each other through hard times or making each other's daily grind easier. I enjoy being seen as reliable, hard-working and strong. You might even say I live for it. If I had that taken away from me or it was made impossible, I would not be able to find lasting contentment.

I've thought about this a lot lately. I'd be living a completely different life if one or two things had gone just a little differently. All I want is to change paths very slightly and I'd likely be satisfied. The other two wishes would be wasted on me. I'd agonize over it if I used them for myself, but I could be content with knowing everyone found their other half thanks to me.

You're a cool bunch most of the time. I want things to work out for all of you, too. If I ever get three wishes, you all are getting two. I don't need them.
