Today was one of the best days in Hololive history but it was also kind of sad because now we know for sure that we're indeed in the golden age and, while it could last for a while, it's all downhill from here on.

Hololive is too big and influential to not attract trash now.

Just look at these threads. Like 50% of all posts are shitty hateful gossip garbage and people jerking off to social media numbers. Check the archive from a year ago and you can see a very clear difference.

Anyone who's genuinely into the girls would not behave like that. Why? Because if you truly love something, your primary instinct would be to preserve it. Not to shit it all up with IRL tabloid-tier drama, popularity contests, and all that other trash.

People who post this kind of filth are not fans. They are sociopaths who are here not because they love the content but because they want to be a part of something big while also having very little respect towards it.

I've followed enough communities to know that the moment these faggots start attempting to participate in the thing en masse is the moment everything starts going downhill.

Now that the community is rotting, it is only a matter of time before some of the girls start catching up and realizing that garbage drama is a great way to get some short-term attention. It is only a matter of time before bad actors start demanding inclusion based on bullshit arguments. It is only a matter of time before political garbage becomes intentional (and not accidental like the most recent blunder).
