The anime had one line about how Rina identifies with Rena's situation due to being brought up by a single parent. Dunno if this was everything R07 wrote for her and the anime staff refused to expand on it or if R07 had written more but the anime staff didn't want to do flashbacks because it'd require new designs and such, which are more of a bother for an anime production.

Tomato's credit in Meguri was expanded from the Gou one. He has a story composition credit for Meguri (like the one Naoki Hayashi had for the Gou/Sotsu anime), so he definitely is writing some stuff now.
