Holostars aren't annoying because they break up your "headcanon".
They completely go against the entire appeal of Hololive, which is idol girls having fun and being friends. Watching a girl flirt with a guy for a few hours never makes for a fun stream, but also breaks the appeal of the girl themselves, especially as it becomes more regular.

No longer do you open a stream waiting to enjoy some wholesome fun, it comes across as a normie social club with cutesy avatars in front of it. It's not just "japs being possessive", the appeal of Hololive itself is antithetical to having some 17 year old Jap zoomer with a stupid avatar flirt around for a few hours with a girl who you enjoy precisely because she's an idol, a pure fun escape from degenerate normal social dynamics. Not "idolizing" idols, and treating them like a social club of normies with eccentric avatars is exactly why Nijisanji is such dogshit.

Oshiomama makes it look so easy. And of course says that she has no idea know what she's doing. Drawing something like this would have taken me ten times longer. I wish I had more free time to still practice drawing and not just Japanese.
