it's not so much about the cut but the accessibility for the masses. evenicle 2, kara no shoujo 2, etc. all got translated, prepared for western release, sent to steam, and promptly rejected and had terrible sales as a result. english releases on other sites don't get nearly as much attention and it's hard to justify the cost if the gaijins won't buy
i purchase off DLsite too and honestly usually import physicals anyway, but it hurts my heart when i see companies in an industry in its death throes try their best to court an international audience and gaben smacks it right down.

start with some fundamentals like topology, algebra and calculus then you can go further with calculus and linear algebra and after that stuff like PDEs, numerics, stochastic or more abstract things in topology/geometry/algebra.
