Not only that but we would slowly evolve into stronger and larger humans to accommodate the new gravity.

I agree that this is quite depressing that I will never get a chance to go to this planet or see if any sentient life forms exist there.

Thats why before I die I will donate sperm to a sperm bank so hopefully there will be a chance of my self continuing in another lifetime.

Yeah, that was my favorite ending. It was sad and the definite end of humanity as well, but the way it described the last days on a shitty cabin with nothing but vodka and piles of books was very well done.

Not saying that slice of life that goes nowhere can't be done in pure text. Just that it requires far more talent and skills to be performed properly. Too subtle and it feels like you're going through page after page of nothing. Too on the nose and it's a race to the finish.
But yeah, it can be done.

It little profits that an idle king,
By this still hearth, among these barren crags,
Match'd with an aged wife, I mete and dole
Unequal laws unto a savage race,
That hoard, and sleep, and feed, and know not me.
I cannot rest from travel: I will drink
Life to the lees: All times I have enjoy'd
Greatly, have suffer'd greatly, both with those
That loved me, and alone, on shore, and when
Thro' scudding drifts the rainy Hyades
Vext the dim sea: I am become a name;
For always roaming with a hungry heart
Much have I seen and known; cities of men
And manners, climates, councils, governments,
Myself not least, but honour'd of them all;
And drunk delight of battle with my peers,
Far on the ringing plains of windy Troy.
I am a part of all that I have met;
Yet all experience is an arch wherethro'
Gleams that untravell'd world whose margin fades
For ever and forever when I move.
How dull it is to pause, to make an end,
To rust unburnish'd, not to shine in use!
As tho' to breathe were life! Life piled on life
Were all too little, and of one to me
Little remains: but every hour is saved
From that eternal silence, something more,
A bringer of new things; and vile it were
For some three suns to store and hoard myself,
And this gray spirit yearning in desire
To follow knowledge like a sinking star,
Beyond the utmost bound of human thought.

we don't even know who she is. stop with the nonsense.

anyways, for those who thinks that touhou is over, stop thinking so pessimistically. like >>8636756 said, ZUN was in this relationship for a while now. its just that he recently got married (like 6 months ago?). how is his wife going to ruin touhou after they went through all those works?

The view up there should be rewarding.

Damn, these pictures are likely inspired in actual places and existing natural landscapes. I feel like I'm wasting my life, my work leaves me with barely enough time to brush my teeth and sleep.

I wish to go Gensokyo and admire such beautiful sights with my own eyes.

Thanks for the pictures, I feel a little better.

I'm not comfortable saying too much about it. I did break a confidence agreement and it's a bit of a betrayal for the guys that I left behind. I see that now that my mind is clearer. But the following is public knowledge, so yeah.

All janitors get are deletion and report systems. They're not considered part of team 4chan and as such get limited details. So no, they can't see IP.

Check http://www.4chan.org/tmp/janitorapp.php the only thing that has changed is that all janitors are considered global with a handful of board specializations.

I do miss it, Sisyphean bullshit and all. But that's mental instability for you, didn't make the best decisions back then. It sure feels weird to realize how much of it was the tumor and meds...

Anyway, been trying to think of something as requested. Still have that Parsee script in the backburner, and honestly I'm plumb out of ideas in Gensokyo that is not navel gazing, quietly-sipping-tea-while-contemplating-the-magic-forest. Was thinking of kind of subverting that by showing the daily chores Reimu does around the shrine, sort of illustrate is hard, tedious work with little to break the monotony. Then something goes on the distance, another incident starting. And then show her prepping up, in high spirits, genuinely excited about another adventure, just a break of pace. Explore that, Reimu as enjoying flying around, shooting and evading, instead of sweeping a silent entryway.
Could work with art to fill the lack of actual content, but not really as a standalone. So I'll keep trying.

Running long, but don't really care. It's warm, the breeze is coming through the window, and for the first time in years I feel like narrative can start without forcing it for hours. It's a nice day to be thinking clearly.

Hello, /jp/

I am looking for subtly Touhou related wallpapers, ones which look nice but don't reveal my powerlevel. I often use my computer in a public space, see. My resolution is 1920x1080, but all sized wallpapers are welcome.

I open my eyes. Sunlight leaking through the tree cover of an ancient forest. I can smell the moss all over the place, bark peeling off some places. Leaves shifting under my bare feet. Wiggle my toes, it feels better than real. As if I had been dreaming until just now.

Take a hesitant step. Nothing wrong, everything in my body is responding to what I want it to do. I breathe in the humid air. Fresh, filling my lungs. Everything starts to overwhelm my senses, the hyperreality of it all, it's almost sickening.

I notice the forest border just bit away. I start to walk towards it, which quickly becomes a stride as I realize what might be there. I find myself running through the forest into the blinding light of a warm spring day.
Shielding my eyes, I look around. And there it is. An old shrine that requires donations. A mountain far away where gods live. I think I can even smell the cold water from the lake.

I am home. I am finally alive.

Hi /jp/,

I am still relatively new to this board so forgive this thread - I know it would have been posted in the past.

Anyway, what is the best way to learn Japanese without attending classes? I've done some research - Smart.fm seems viable for increasing vocabulary, and a few textbooks I've found are good, but are very concerned with sentence structure right off the bat. For anybody reading this who has successfully learned Japanese to a high level (say, being able to watch the Japanese news without subtitles) in this way, do you have any advice? Is a textbook really the best way to go about this?
