"Yukari's power is not supreme." Goro flatly stated. "It has limits, like her gaps for example, they close without her because the world around them pushes them closed. What's more, we're up against many other's like her, with abilities just as incomprehensible that have known the Yakumo for centuries. They will have many plans to thwart her, Ran-San, Flan-Chan, and the rest of our allies, so, when we do fight, please allow us to act as your humble stage hands." Goro said, getting up from his chair, and taking a knee.

"When the chaos begins, we'll use our abilities to confuse our adversaries and place you on the stage where you shine brightest." He smiled.

There was something warm about his words and posture. Some genuine appreciation and understanding I haven't seen from a normal human in so long. An honest admiration that I craved-

"Hey Goro how did you make the rock go like that?" Flan asked, having been tossing rocks the entire time he was talking.

"Oh, they say it's all in the wrist." Goro said, flexing his hand back and forth. Flan just tilted her head, confused.

"Bah, the Brat won't get it. If you explain things to a Youaki it's gotta be with..." She began, manifesting a bullet with her hand. "...Danmaku."

Suddenly she hurled the bullet across the garden. The little thing soared to the field of roses, but didn't crater it, no, instead it bounced harmlessly off the bush and continued to do so, boyently dancing through the fields like an elastic ball, until one bounce sent it soaring at us only for it to bounce on the ground just outside the fire pit and sail harmlessly into the sky.

"Wow!" Flandre started with her eyes wide. "Come on! You gotta show me how to do that!" She said, pulling the Amanojaku aside.

"Fine, fine, conversation was getting all sappy anyway. Don't just complain when I rough you up a bit." Seija said, walking off with her.

"Hehehe, my apologize Miss Remilla, Seija taken a shine to children recently is all." Goro said, standing up.

"No no, it's no worry, it give us a chance to have a more adult conversation." I said, glad to be rid of the two.

"Fantastic! We can discuss some logistical matters then!" Goro began, sitting down and opening a notebook. "Takane asked me to clarify some of the food and supplies you're shipping, let's start with this pork delivery you have planned, it's quite a lot!"

"Of course, I should be generous with a delicacy the village rarely experiences right?" I said.

"And what preservative shall you be sending it with?" Goro asked.

Preservative? What did he mean? "Surly there's no need, it will all be cooked and eaten soon right?"

"Ah, well there's so much in this shipment and there's not nearly enough space in the villages current dry houses you see, so Takane wanted me to clarify that point, they'll spoil if the weather warms and they're left in improper accomedations, unless they're sent with salt after all." He clarified.

"Oh, right... of course! We used salt after all, it's the most suitable right?" I looked to Sakuya, who give me a quizzical look. Oh no, had I said something foolish?

"Well, we can set that aside for now, what's really important are these spices. We were wondering if you could ship direct to some of the stalls to reduce the risk of theft. We can provide some routing assistance for that if you'd like." Goro said.

Theft? People would steal from Yukari? And what's 'routing assistance'? Ah, my head hurt. Looking over to Flandre and Seija, they were shooting Danmaku pellets out and laughing. But I couldn't just go join them, it wasn't dignified after all.

"Would you like to join your sister? Perhaps you should go ahead, I'm sure Sakuya is capable of handling these matters." He offered.

"Ah, yes, of course! She is my dear sister after all! And it wouldn't do to leave her to that brute" I announced, hopping from my chair and tipping over my wine glass, which Sakuya caught.

"Thank you for your courtesy Sir Goro, I'll leave these matters to you." I said with curtsy before making for the two.
