If I remember correctly the new Ami generic is an updated version of the old Aurora shell with some bugfixes. My kig is an Aurora from the final batch, they're more or less the same but the the most noticeable thing is Ami has a shorter nose. That should give you an idea.

You shouldn't have to wait as long as before if you do buy one since the production method for the new generic shells is a lot faster than the older ones.
