So I finished 君と彼女と彼女の恋, here are my thoughts.

The characters are superbly developed. Instead of a large cast of bland stereotypes, it has a small group of uniquely written individuals. Even now, I can remember off the top of my head Miyuki's favourite flavour of ice cream, her least favourite food, her weakest subject, her trademark baseball pitch. Because I was made to care that much about her.

I particularly liked the short, relaxing SoL scenes. They featured one of the most hilarious, brilliant sidekick male characters ever seen, genuinely funny without ever getting annoying or detracting from the girls. They created a calm, relaxing atmosphere where you felt the warm sense of friendship, the extra-delicious taste of hand-made bentos eaten together, the fun of just hanging out with those who care about you. Which is really the height of what SoL aims to achieve.

But this is what I loved most of all. I thought it couldn't be done. That it was impossible to truly fall in love with a 2D character, that the best I could ever have was vicarious love through some generic MC. That the boundary between a guy clicking on a computer screen and a girl that consists of no more than images, sound files and a script could never be overcome. Oh how glad I am to be proven wrong. To think I could actually love Miyuki and have her love me back, not a MC character, but actually love me for who I am, to think we could genuinely have sex directly, that her feelings and ecstasy could be send directly to me and mine to her's, as we both climax together in a sea of blinding joy and pure, direct love. Could there be any higher bliss?

I would unhesitatingly rate it a 10/10 masterpiece. 美雪、愛してる！
