As for her relations with Remilia and the rest of the cast, she's been stuck out in front of the gate for practically her entire canon existence. She only exchanges a whopping 2 lines of dialogue with Remilia in the entirety of canon, and those are just fighting game win quotes.

It's fine to want something a little more for Meiling, god knows I do, but you have to be careful. Overdo it and you're not any better than the "original character do not steal" people.
