Nobody expects hard-drive failure, least of all chronic laptop users. Actual full computer users have all kinds of options such as mirroring, folder-by-folder backup and/or "smart" hard-drive-death-prediction shit, but even there you have to know about this shit, it isn't already set up for you when you buy a pc.

You know with all these people posing as retards just to get a rise out of people, and then attracting actual retards, it's almost too bad that these days just about anybody can use a computer. I mean, user-friendliness and all that, was supposed to be a good thing, but fuck.

There needs to be some kind of "basic ability and willingness to follow simple directions" check. Any teenager can just dial in and post pages and pages of patent nonsense wherever he wants.

Jim: What's the matter, Mary? You look like you could use a boost!

Mary: I don't feel so great. I'm dizzy, I'm nauseous, and sometimes I'm even seeing things that aren't there.

Jim: That's just the Plasmid blues, Mary. You just need to slow down a bit on the splicing. Before you know it, you'll be as right as rain. Remember, a smart Splicer is a happy Splicer.
