Gusset - pantyhose can either have a gusset or not. This is a piece of breathable material (nylon is not a breathable material so it traps moisture) inserted into the seam at the crotch to add breadth and increase the strength of the crotch seam. Since it touches the genitals its breath-ability adds comfort as it let's out / absorbed moisture that would otherwise trapped within.

Seamless - now this is really something. Normally pantyhose is made one leg at the time and stitched together in a machine down the middle of the brief which results in the crotch seam. The Germans being natural engineers saw this and instead of fapping like everyone else, scratched their chin and went "nein!" So a German company called Wolford came up with a machine that could weave an entire pantyhose from a nylon thread from start to finish in one piece, thus resulting in seamless pantyhose. Wolford no longer have a monopoly on this technology but they are still considered the best when it comes to pantyhose manufacturing and the price shows.
