Loopers just feels really like empty fluff. The intro good but after that a lot of the set up is sidelined for slice of life. Then you get the character development of most of the cast packaged all at once too. There is one pretty good dramatic arc in the middle though, and the ending is actually decent but it just feels like too short and small.

Only the main hero and the heroine get any screentime throughout the story and their characterization feels really surface level. Then Leona and Hilda (himecut punk and girl with twintails) get the drama in the middle, which is good, but you also have 4 other cast members who are basically just there. Like I said, they don't even get a proper arc after their introductions, so it just ends up feeling too small (and their introduction pointless).
