I mean, unlike the other characters, for Satoko and Rika there's the whole stuff with the new loops separating Gou/Sotsu/Meguri from Rei.

It's a completely separate timeline. They aren't immortal beings. Rika has 3 loops she received from a jewel Hanyuu gave her when she left in 83. Satoko knows nothing about the curse and Rika considers the idea of someone aside from Takano recreating the curse impossible.

It's just dumb to make a sequel that completely ignores the last one right after it ended, when it was promoted so heavily.
