Honestly, it's not even about whether or not these would be successful (or if she would forget about them after the loop), it's the fact that she never even thinks of the possibilities. Satoko explained Rika's problem pretty well: Rika literally just throws the dice and hopes for a miracle until it happens. No creativity, no smart ideas, nothing.
