realistically, though, anything can happen.
women have extremely fluid sexualities. many studies have found an overwhelming proportion of women to "experiment" with other women during their adult years (primarily in college).
not to mention that there are significantly more "lesbians" than there are "gay" couples.
gura is most definitely bi. amelia is mostly hetero - but she has read and enjoyed yuri before.
what is love, anyway? sure, appearance means a lot. and gender plays a huge role in that external phenotype. but relationships founded upon facetious traits like "beauty" are as fleeting and shallow as those traits themselves. what really leads to and is a predictor of a enduring, great relationship is what's inside.
and of course, you need a balance of both. nobody wants to date an ugly FUCK even if you both mesh really well with one another. but that's not a problem, obviously. what matters most is that gura and amelia align and overlap in many many aspects. from their interests, their life histories, their personality types, their skills, etc.
consequently, there is no doubt in my mind, that if given the chance, they would be able to develop a romantic relationship. whether or not it will happen is the question, and of course, the latter is very likey. but i think the off-collab will really be a true test for both of them. because they'll find out many, many things about one another. things that will push and pull their very fragile and malleable relationship, and will forge new meaning into it.
on a side note, i think that regardless of your gender, you will have some sort of urge, or instinct, to want to protect gura. she's so effeminate, fragile, cute, can-be-dependent, etc. i think that'll really resonate with amelia, someone with a very, very, strong resolve to protect others, care for others, etc. (see: stories of her siding with strangers when homeless people were picking on them, wanting to not leave anyone in holoEN out, etc.)

that innate maternal instinct that is so strong within amelia will no doubt manifest if gura opens up to her - which is very likely to occur as they continue to get to know one another. of course, a relationship grounded in that dynamic is also very artificial, but it just serves to show that there are many routes for a gurame ending.

ive decided to create an objective ranking scale for hololive entertainment (primarily holoEN, though there is high external validity so these factors will generalize)
chuubas are ranked based on six factors: entertainment, voice, design, time investment, community engagement, and talent
let me briefly describe the scale that will be used:
each girl will be ranked for each factor, which will vary from 0 (worst) to 10 (best) points. cumulatively, the girl with the highest point total will be, objectively, the best holoEN chuuba.
however, there are clearly some factors that are more desirable than others. namely: entertainment, voice, and design. as such, there is an additional ranking within-factors, such that entertainment has a 1.1 modifier for points, voice and design a 1.0 modifier, time investment a 0.95, community engagement a 0.9, and talent a 0.8
