Certain lines and terms that people are more familiar with are different in UP's version, such as the "Rokkenjima Massacre" becoming "Rokkenjimagate". There's also said to be more gratuitous cursing in the UP version. I can't say for sure if it's a matter of quality or preference.

Personally, I prefer the umineko-project tl over the MG one. Both are vast improvements over the original WH tl but it's up to personal taste as to which is better.

What's the general consensus on which translation is best?
I personally prefer umineko-project's.
