Maybe it's because her original evolution art didn't have an attack pose? Though I prefer her first art too, the cute girl-next-door look suits her better than the frilly outfit.

I'm much more bothered by how amazing Ping-pong Chrysanthemum looks, because that only means she'd look even more amazing if she had kept her glasses.
