One thing thats good about fictional characters is you cant really hurt anyone (to a point) making them into something different than what they are clasically portrayed as. I do think there is a line though, making radical changes such as changing the sex of the character by slapping on a penis to a known female character lets say, is a big "fuck you" to the creator.

Changing the hair, giving one larger or smaller breasts is fine to a point short of it becoming grotesque and fetish shit. (ex. Chanta curse his name) Personality should remain pretty much the same but it Rans case, she is just a computer so it shouldn't offend someone if she was doing something completely unlike her normally cold, calculating, non emotional strictly business self.

I like MMD videos as well, its nice when we get to see her animated with a beautiful model. Those who only like hand drawn shit because they are "purists" or whatever which is dumb in itself because she is at most a video game sprite officially, can learn to airwolfing ignore things that aren't their preference.
