Her dress isn't supposed to have pink and purple stripes, it just looked like that in EoSD because of the lighting. Her SWR portrait and HM sprite corrected this, but other official artists have kept drawing her with stripes anyway, and ZUN hasn't bothered correcting them.

Pic attached is what Patchouli's dress is supposed to look like. But because her EoSD sprites were low-res, most people mistook the shadows for pinstripes and Tasofro gave her pinstripes in her fighting game sprites.

That's what library assistants are for. Us librarians generally wouldn't have the time to do anything if we had to always be shelving books and doing menial clerical / logistical work all the time. We do a lot more than that, such as finding, researching and assembling/organizing papers, texts and media on topics that could not be found on the internet, writing books, being knowledgable and networking with other librarians/authors/pioneers/significant people in their respected fields/professions/specialties, along with various other projects unique to each library and its staff and patron needs.
