>Also nobody here is attacking them get a grip dude. Criticism isn't personal attacks.
anon, i am western and i use language loosely. it's rather silly to get upset over choice of words when there's not much difference in meaning rather than implied implications
if we're going to get semantical, you said
>I hope the Western fan community dies faster
which is a little harsher than just "criticism," but rather than get involved in semantics let's understand hyperbole in language and not do get sidetracked

>Well Zun isn't callig his fans bigots and writing lengthy callout posts for not agreeing with his views now is he?
it sounds more like your problem isn't that touhou is invoked for politics, but that some invoke it in a way that you deem inappropriate to your sensibilities. in which case, that's a rather petty complaint

i do not like the idea of stating "this media is forbidden from analysis and reference in ways i do not like," that's a very modern sentiment by people too thin-skinned. touhou is deeply rooted in japanese culture, history, and myth. it is not unreasonable for some people, in debating matters related to their own culture, to refer to it and draw similarities. the japanese themselves learned a lot from the west in the past and it is rather ridiculous to try and gatekeep the reverse in this particular instance. it would be equally silly for me to try and declare the japanese aren't allowed to use the works of shakespeare for unapproved reasons
no one says you have to agree with any analysis, in the same way i don't have to agree with a poorly used analysis of a western story, of which there are plenty. if your complaint is that the analysis is bad, then the real issue is not that they referred to touhou but that you disagree with their politics or reasoning

if your complaint is that people are dragging politics into spheres they don't belong in, that's somewhat of a different issue than simply drawing references and conclusions from media. i don't think someone should come to this board and start going off on western politics with a token reference to touhou because that's definitely not the point of this board - people do not come here to discuss that and don't want it shoehorned in
but i do not find it rational to declare that it is taboo in any setting whatsoever. if there was a discussion on /pol/ of "cultural analysis of video games" i think it would be perfectly acceptable to discuss touhou in reference to western politics. you don't have to go there and like or agree with any of it, but to condemn the entire western fandom for that is impetuous
