Taste for queer and unnatural turret placements is very much an acquired one. You start off normally with your boring old 2 superfiring turrets in front and either another pair of them or a single turret in back, then you proceed to Jap CA turret piles, wing turrets and cross-deck firing, all centerline with no superfiring turrets, hexagonal turret layouts, double-decker turrets, whatever fuck French were doing during 1890s, etc.
