>Ever since Kakki joined Nogizaka46 I’ve always wanted to be an idol like her, to put my all into everything, and to do even more than what is expected of me… I really look up to her and how much she is loved by those around her.

I loved Nogizaka46 so I casually took the audition anyways even though I thought I never had even the slightest chance of passing the audition. At the bottom of the audition form there was a line that read “successful applicant will be contacted” and when I read it I truly didn’t believe that it applied to me. However, despite all that somewhere in the back of my head, it’s sad but I felt myself slowly keeping a distance from Nogizaka46.

>Right around that time I watched the Senbatsu announcement for the 28th single, and I saw Kakki’s updated blog after she had been chosen as center for the single. After reading it I felt like this was the Nogizaka46 that I loved, and I felt my view and desire to follow them being restored. The very next day I received my written notice of passing and I was given number 8 during the final audition.

>The first thing I though was ‘this is Kakki’s number!’ Throughout that audition I though that maybe I will be loved by Kakki’s favorite number, 8. And then, during the announcement of successful applicants, number 8 was called. I didn’t feel I had any strength of my own but that is was in fact Kakki’s power and so I thought that if I ever became a member and I was able to meet her I would let her know.
