Ranked has been completely fucked for a long time. The season where Aqua got her solomas was unironically the last season where ranks meant anything. Ever since then respawn has been making retarded ballance changes and seasons alternate between way too easy and way too hard. Because of this current ranks no longer are an accurate representation, especially since most people have been playing for years and still think in terms of the old system when comparing players. Right now we're talking about Aqua and other vtubers as masters when it's unlikely any of the will achieve that rank this season and on the other hand way weaker players could have easily achieved master in the previous season. I mostly stopped playing a couple of seasons ago because it's pointless, if I do play it, I just run around and shoot people like it's pubs.
