If I buy a doujinshi and already understand the contents of it, why should I cut it up to be scanned so someone can translate it for the plebeian masses?

The real question should be why aren't more doujinshi circles putting their stuff on DL sites.

I can understand the sentiment, but I think the issue with that mentality is rooted in the fact that most 'new' LPs are completely irredeemable, have minimal effort invested in them and the person playing the game is either a mouth breather or shit at the game (usually both).

Someone who's knowledgeable about the game and isn't intolerable and actually willing to put the effort in can add a new spin or perspective on things and you'll probably learn something from it.

But saying that, I'm not someone who watches or reads LPs either, because I'd rather play the game than watch someone else too. I don't think many people actually watch the 'full series' of an LP, especially when so many people drag it on for over 50 parts, do a blind run or spend more time talking about themselves than explaining what they're doing.
