i think rin is the alpha build for eirin.
a. both have 'rin' in the name
b. rin is a nurse, eirin is master at nursing
c. tsuki can mean 'moon'. eirin is from the moon.
d. eirin didnt appear as a player character, like rin didnt appear as a player character. im not hanging at straws here. zun didnt know how to make rin into a pc is why he scrapped her. same with eirin; tewi and raisen from her game became pc, yukari and remilia- last bosses from previous games - as well, eirin didnt even make it to fighting games.
e. eirin appears with a bow and arrow, which is probably what her danamaku as pc was supposed to be.
