it's true about most arguments everywhere generally. it's actually really exhausting, you can't talk about anything anymore without calculating the political implications and whether the person you're talking to is just playing a role for an imaginary audience to recruit new followers into an ideology. sometimes I almost forget how much easier it was to have honest, personal conversations on the internet at one point.
