I was playing through FSN the 4th time (I'm masochistic like that) and I realized something: the way they present Shinji makes no sense.

Think about it:
Fate: He's a dick and gets Berserker squished as a result
Unlimited Blade Works: Still a dick, but lives and seems to be coming back from "Hey guys what's in this basmeAAAAAAAHHHHH" Shinji.
Heaven's Feel: ...BUT WAIT! He's actually an EVEN BIGGER dick than you thought, thus making his implied redemption in UBW ending totally meaningless!

Okay, got FSN recently. I'm currently on UBW, and Shinji just arrived at Kirei's church. Based on what happened to the last group that tried to seek shelter at Kirei's church, I thought Shinji was going to be meat in seconds. Instead, it seems that Kirei gave him Gilgamesh (or Lancer, but I think Gilgamesh). And I can't think of any reason why he would give this ultimate Servant of his to an obviously inferior and stupid Master.
