Why do people even try to compete with anki?

Do they really think their flashcard program is able to compete with an open-source project that hundreds of people work on?

Is there a reason everybody says Anki is the best option beyond wanting to look smart because it's overly complicated?

At the end of the day it doesn't seem like it would teach me anything Busuu wouldnt

>just 30 minutes of anki a day!
ok i've been doing about 30 minutes a day for several months now and i have to admit this is getting really, really old. if you can tolerate 30 minutes, kudos to you. but i think it's fair if most people cannot stand having to spend 30 minutes EVERY DAY doing something so unenjoyable. just replace anki with something else incredibly boring like watching paint dry. now do that every day. for 30 minutes. that's 182 hours of paint watching a year. that's 7 and a half days of continuously watching paint dry. fudge that.

Should I pick up Anki anons? So far I've just been reading and looking up shit I don't get and it's working well for the most part, but is it worth it to use Anki for the more obscure words that don't pop up as often?

Hello there.
I've seem to have fucked up my Core6k Deck.
I made some modifications to a separate deck file and then merged them together. Now the cards are no longer shown in the Opt Vocabulary Index even though it's set to show in order.
How can I rearrange them again?

Would this be effective to learn written and spoken?
>One deck is the normal 2/6k deck with Kanji on the front of the card and translation on the back
>Another deck is the same except with audio on the front and translation on the back so I have to figure out the word from audio only
I want to be able to both read and listen to Japanese culture so would doing both decks be best for my learning?
