MoF cast is just way too good to be relegated to filler, so I'm very happy most of them managed to become regulars *and* part of the core Touhou characters over the years.

Aki sisters, Hina and Momiji could use some reapperances, but we still have time for that.

For me it was the games' music when i first heard it on youtube.
Then the characters of the songs i liked more, then i played the games, altho i haven't beat any of them yet they kept me interested in learning more about the characters and gensokyo, and more recently it has been general interest in all touhou canon wise, i started reading the canon works like Forbidden Scrollery, PMiSS and the likes.
