Being the title for the 10th anniversary of Nitro+, I'd bet he also got a lot more time and budget than the average game.
I don't know, I like his style a lot but Hanachirasu wasn't exactly a mindblowing masterpiece. If if he were to write more games I sort of doubt they'd turn out that good.

reading DEARDROPS
feels kinda weird reading an eroge with your average plot twisted for convenience, protagonist always breaking through and really trivial moral dilemmas after finishing Muramasa. Whatever, I'm enjoying the ride.
