I've pretty much always got something on the go. Finished up Ammianus' "Res Gestae" recently and it was really enjoyable. Not sure what to read next though.

The Iliad is great, but I agree that it's a pretty hard read, especially if you're unfamiliar with ancient Greece. Definitely read the Oresteian Trilogy and the Odyssey after it though, they're even better in my opinion.
