The one time I applied for a job I just made up stuff to fill a three year gap. The important part is that you know what a certain job entails.
For example, I said I've been working at an opinion research center because that's something my sister used to do. From her stories, I could talk about experience in an interview as if I did it myself. In the end they wanted me for the job, naturally I declined because I was suddenly scared shitless of change.
That was a year or so ago now. Sometimes I wonder what would have been if I had taken that. Was a decent offer too, 20k starting with only a three day work week.
