Well I won't contest that since I can't verify it now, but since the bullets are most likely aimed so I'm sure that simple streaming can do the trick just fine, not to mention the ample time you have before they actually start shooting. The point is that there are others solutions besides mindlessly firing at them, and a smart player who would be aware that a boss would have different mechanics and would at try different things.
