First-timer/low NG+? (Not so) Joke answer: Ditch everything and go Devil summoner, aim for 2 GEs then start as an Expert Sword Saint with Boxer subclass (for passive HP/MP regen), spam Pralaya till you've reached lv100+, grab the "Level carries on to next playthrough," play around with whatever class you want. You probably won't go above level ~80 on your first playthrough so you should take the DMC and DeviColo ending since those are one of the easier endings that has no level-scaling gimmick, not to mention how you can just relegate any Devil Summoner/COMP task to DeviColo's heroine on further playthrough since she's got Rank 5 Devil Summoner.
But yeah, as the other anon said before, you can just learn skills if you're playing Adepts, at any rate your MC will have an overabundance of Magnetite to spend but not enough to enhance your stats desu. Though, If you're like me and would much prefer to spam shit up, get the Gunslinger class since they have Pierce at lv 45 and use whatever physical skills you want.

Should've gone to DemiKids first dungeon if you're not playing Devil Summoner or at your first playthrough, it'll give you Lv30 Ares and Lv40 Thor for ~15 minutes of IRL playtime at the casino alongside a free Devil Summoner character. They'll pretty much curbstomp every enemies/bosses below level 50, of which you can just fuse 'em to something better once they've outlived their purposes.
