>I guess Miku will get any producer more views and money but it's not like Gumi is unpopular. I dunno. Obviously he can use who he wants but I do like when producers use multiple vocaloids. It just feels more fun that way and I like listening to how each vocaloid sounds in a producer's tuning.
I love Gumi too. But no amount of copeium is going to let us ignore reality. It's not the Vocaloid Golden Age anymore.

Strange to look back on this isn't it? Back in the day Gumi was more popular than Luka. Gumi was more popular than Rin too.

>>She is literally more popular than half of the Cryptonloids.
We discussed this a few threads back. It would have been true in 2011~2013, but not now.

Nevertheless she's popular to *me*.

Miku has been steadily increasing for years now though, Crypton works really hard to keep her strong unlike the other companies.

According to the graph GUMI was losing popularity since 2013 though, and Miku wasn't losing enough to make anyone close to "catching up". Of course this is just new videos, Miku mind share goes beyond producers with game franchises, world tours, merchandising, commercials and other fancontent like fanart, it's probably easier to discover Miku than Vocaloid as a whole since there are so many alternate entry points.
