In the Illusionary World there lived a flower-loving youkai, sequestered in her garden of flowers. All day, she would care for her flowers, all night, she would sleep with her flowers. She lived through the seasons, watching them grow, bloom, wither, and give way to a new generation of flowers. When asked whether she grieved for those flowers that had passed away, she said, Why would I grieve? Each and every one of those flowers lived to their fullest. Each tried as hard as they could, and each blossomed spectacularly. Even in death, they provided for the next generation with their withered bodies. Why would I grieve for such a magnificent display of life?
