Personally, I subscribe to the belief that there are other Hakurei clan members, but they exist outside the barrier and tend to the Outside World's Hakurei Shrine, though none of them are really aware of their family's history and the most they do nowadays is leave offerings and tidy up around the dilapidated shrine every once in a while. At the very least, it has been noted that someone or someones have been leaving offerings at the Outside World's Hakurei Shrine and though it's located on a mountain, it's close to a city, though it's unclear where.

What happens is when a Hakurei shrine maiden dies, one of the youngest Hakurei girls gets whisked away by Yukari who shrouds her disappearance in complete mystery and wipes her memories clean of the outside world.
