While of course I understand the rules in Gensokyo have changed, and danmaku is our primary tool for deterring attackers now, even in this we lag behind the rest of the region as we seldom get any time to practice, compared to even the crow tengu whom at least may glean some degree of technique out of their usual harassing of the lowlanders. The fact of the matter is we have become some cruel combination of parade guards and day laborers, and this is affecting our ability to perform in what I at least believe was our intended role as soldiers quite severely. I must pointedly mention that during the second Lunar incident, in spite of having several thousand tengu covering the mountain, we failed to find and cut down more than four of what I am to believe was a mere scouting force, in unfamiliar territory at that, and it was I alone who cut them down. To the humiliation of what is supposed to be a security force, Shameimaru found and pacified a similar number, and the resolvers of the incident downed two, when they were merely passing through the area! So I must beseech you, please, please, scale back some of the less vital and pointless work we are forced to do, that we may actually do our jobs!"
