You know, something that really annoys me in the anime is how easy defeating the abyssals - even the abyssal queens - seems to be. In contrast, I remember in the "Shimakaze, the Girl of the Whirlwind" manga where Re-class was portrayed as this seemingly unstoppable force. Both seasons of the anime so far never gave this feeling of danger, or at least not for long enough.
