Aside from Sanae (who will forever and always be at the top), my other favorites are Reimu and Alice. Reimu used to be somewhere near the middle on my list, but with a combination of using her mainly while 1ccing Lunatics and reading more into her character in some manga and dialogue (mainly the former because I'm weird like that), she really grew on me. I like how she and Sanae are foils to each other, too, and it really shows in WaHH and FS. I feel the fandom exaggerates it too much, but that's to be expected.

As for Alice, I really dig her personality. She's quite introvert, and yet she's kind enough to let lost travelers stay in her home and she makes dolls for the children in the Human Village. Her dynamic with Marisa is also quite entertaining.

Her dialogue isn't all like that. Only her UFO SanaeA scenario has her hellbent on doing well with youkai hunting. Besides, she's adorable in the mangas.

UFO: SanaeA isn't overpowered in any way, shape, or form. It's a jack-of-all-trades shot. SanaeB has the strongest bomb in the game, but it isn't OP.
TD: Sanae is the worst shot in the game, so I don't know what you're talking about.
LoLK: She isn't broken here because she has the weakest shot power from a distance, but she does make 1ccing the game a breeze along with Reisen.

Opinions dudes. I personally love the color scheme.

I don't think you've read the story or the endings too much if you've come to that conclusion.

If you bothered to read the manga/play the games, you'd notice that Sanae's doing just fine in Gensokyo and adapted very well to its environment. She clearly doesn't give a fuck about any boys, she's fine with there not being much modern luxuries, and while she was frightened by the youkai and inhabitants at first, she befriended the latter just fine and she can now manage to deal with the former adequately. Her main concerns are making sure her goddesses retain enough faith to exist and to make sure she performs her duties to the best of her abilities.

Sanae is pure.

Anyway, TD!Reimu is probably my favorite Reimu art in the series. Everyone else looks alright. Art in DDC was decent, but LoLK had some nice art IMO.
