It's not about what the killer wants, it's about what the victim's family would want. Not to mention, many killers, even serial killers beg and plead when it comes for them to face their execution. Tommy Lynn Sells, began talking of forgiveness and crying and weeping. Ted Bundy was scared and hoping to cut some kind of deal for the bodies of other victims. John Wayne Gacy was feverishly insisting that someone had buried all those bodies under his house and that he was really innocent.
