Partially she thinks it looks cool. The other half is that her cloak is how she hides her wings. Magics them away to look like her cloak, her wings being torn and damaged through the years cause the cloak to look damaged.

She does have wings. If we go with MGE lore do remember that some parts can me magiced away. I have it where usually she has the cape in her main outfit be her wings. Thus when I do get her wings, the coloring and battle damage on them reflect that of her cape.
