some guy told me recently about this - It might seem silly, but this is a quite decent learning program. Especially when you don't have a tablet (or similar) to draw on. Saves you wasting lots of paper like I did while learning kana...

Anyone have that image for learning Japanese, with the different books and everything? Also, ITT: learning moonspeak

/jp/, what is your opinion on this game?

I'll have to move to Japan for work at the end of the year, already know my hiragana/katakana and some basic grammar. I won't need to write/speak Japanese for work but the concept of learning kanjis on the DS screen seems quite nice, especially for stroke order.

Just about done with the German courses, I've decided to start up Japanese, because Inoue Yasushi is fucking awesome. (And because Chinese is hard a hell).

Anyway, anyone have any thoughts on this game? From all I've heard, Japanese is a fairly simply language (at least relatively). I imagine the hardest part for me will be learning how to read/write. All those different characters... they just look like random chicken scratches to me. Would this game be a beneficial learning tool?

And if not, is there something else I should be looking at? It feels like it could potentially be very helpful, what with the stylus and all.

WHAT THE FUCK?!
I paid over $500 in tuition for Jap classes and then I download this and it made my first year completely obsolete!

Anyone tried using this? I'm up to lesson 45~ but the game slows down when displaying hiragana/katakana on the cards, I learned a few words from it so it really wasn't a waste of time for me.

So, will this help me learn Japanese, /jp/?
