>I keep hearing from people on YouTube that my band sounds very similar to Utsu-P. I only heard a couple songs from the guy and they really sound NOTHING like us. His style is closer to deathcore with only a slight hint of melodic death metal in there but our style is far closer to melodic tech-death with nu metalcore and thrash metal elements, and I don't think it's fair to call us death metal either but "technical metal" somehow isn't recognised as a genre of its own.
>And by the time I end up hearing a couple of his songs, all NSFW and other obscene lyrics and themes. Very cliché and stereotypical and not only that, songs like the ones he puts out are the easiest way to break everyone's TOS and piss off companies like Crypton. This is exactly why the chances of any metal song being played on any Miku event these days is literally zero.
>I started 1MW as a means to break the trend and make us a shining proof that tech-death doesn't have to be brutal or obscene or explicit like a vast majority of tech-death bands happen to be, even going as far as try to actually make technical metal that actually has the leverage to be rated for general audience so that venues and radio stations have no excuse to blacklist us, and stuff like this drowns it all out.
