Samidare and Suzukaze are only associated with each other because of the artist. First six Shiratsuyus were the same design and building plan. The four (-kaze) were ordered later and had a slightly more streamlined bridge. I usually picture Samidare with Shigure because of their time together in DesDiv 27 and for being the last two survivors of the Shiratsuyu class. Also reminder that Samidare rescued the survivors of Yuudachi (as well as Yura, Kirishima, and Yuubari).
