I wanna kill people!

I gotta admit, the fanbase for her being a slut and those that fight against it are both idiotic...

Here's my thoughts... She's a miko who believes in a different faith other than Hakurei, she's just a simple descendant of Suwako and is generally a nice person who's got a hint of ax-murderer in her when pesky youkai are acting way out of bounds. That's about it... What else is there other than the meme-fanon that spiraled waaay out of control? That she's a slut? Big deal, nearly everyone in this whole series can be depicted as such and it wouldn't make a difference.

How about you just take it for what she is at face value and stop over-analyzing it and enjoy the simple fact of what and who Sanae is, a character of a series of Shumps with really green hair. The Doujins writers and fantards do a fine enough job trying to shoehorn in these scenarios and stories and desperately try to pass it off as canon, which isn't true. If ZUN wanted Sanae to be a slut, he would have implied a lot more perniciousness in Sanae's character other than giving Sanae a slightly bigger bust than Reimu's which, by comparison, ain't much to begin with.

Take it with a grain of salt and enjoy the Maidens for what they are, Maidens.
