He got the music, art and game interface down perfectly. He even managed to do a decent job on the danmaku patterns. Unfortunately, he messed up on the most important thing, the combat system. It's far too slow/clunky and the sound effects need an overhaul. I also didn't like the special effects i.e., the sprite animation of defeated enemies or the protagonist's awkward danmaku shots. If you hold the shot button it looks as if the danmaku isn't moving. I remember when I ran into that problem when I coded my first Touhou clone. It's easily patched.

And to the people that believe flash is to blame for all of this - no, flash is pretty bad as a game platform, but it's much more flexible than this. All in all it was a great demo and I look forward to the completed version. I firmly agree with this >>3565964 anon.
